And here's a simple recipe to make your very own energy bar, Yes!! With your own choices of nuts!!
Easy-peasy making this delicious and satisfying desert or breakfast for some...
Ingredients A
Mix your own set of nuts and fruits for your bar...
100 g roasted cashew nuts
80 g roasted ground nut
100 g roasted almond
50 g roasted walnut
70 g mixed dried fruits
100 g rolled oats
50 g freshly grated coconut
20 g Brown sugar
1) Crush all the nuts. It can be whole or crushed to the desired size.
2) Mix all of the ingredients above. Set aside.
Ingredients B
150 g brown sugar
50 g coarse sugar
100 g butter
1 egg
60 g flour
few spoons of milk powder
Honey/Molasses
Vanilla Essence
3) Melt butter. Add sugar after butter has melted. Stir until sugar has melted.(make sure not to burn them. Use low heat to melt) Leave to cool.
4) Add egg, Vanilla essence,few spoons of honey or molasses for flavour and fold in.
5) Add flour and few spoons of milk powder and fold in until mixture is smooth & thick.
6) Mix in just enough of Ingredients B mixture into Ingredients A mixture until a sticky but firm consistency is formed. Mix thoroughly.
7) Pour the mixture into a pan and press it down using the back of a spoon.

50 g sugar
8) Mix the freshly grated coconut and sugar and pour it on top.
9) Press it down with the back of the spoon.
10) Drizzle with melted chocolate if desired.
11) Bake for 20 - 30 minutes at 180 degree Celcius or until the sides are golden brown.
12) Leave to cool and chill in refrigerator before cutting into bars using a serrated knife.
13) Ready to serve. You can pack it to enjoy them on the go.
